The Kanji Kentei, known in English as the Japan Kanji Aptitude Test, is a non-governmental examination taken by millions of Japanese people every year. While most people generally look no further than level 2, dedicated kanji enthusiasts may aim to pass levels 1 and semi-1. Most material here will concern these two levels.
