I believe profile blurbs should list trivial facts about you that happen to be unique. I think profile blurbs should be about five to six sentences long. I believe profile blurbs shouldn’t talk about your personal opinions too much. I believe some rules can be broken for the sake of humor.

how to use +

Azalea is a new BBS to replace Iris, a textboard I abandoned shortly after creating. Iris itself had once been a successor to the Kareha/Wakaba-based Heaven. Like Iris, Azalea is made just about entirely from scratch, but a key difference is that it is directly integrated into the Sakinorva global "system." Back when I made Iris, I didn't have the foresight to streamline my code, so it was a huge mess internally—and externally, too!! It wasn't even an original design!

Azalea supports mobile layouts natively, runs on a single page, is light on its database, looks cute and pretty, has a plethora of administrator functions, and is just so much more Sakinorva than any of the other BBS systems I've used.

Planting a flower

This is functionally the same thing as posting a thread.

Fill out the various fields and click "create thread" at the end to post a thread.

Information about the various fields is written below.

Name

Enter the name you would like to use for your post.

Names are required.

You can set a password by appending ++ to your name, followed by the password you wish to use.

roba++hunter2

This sets your username to roba and your password to hunter2.

Names that have been used with a password in the past can always be used without a password, but it will show as regular green text.

The same behavior will occur for incorrectly entered passwords.

Names with passwords show as bold green text.

The administrator name will show as bold pink text.

Thread title

Thread titles are required.

This is the title that will show up at the top of the page.

Category

The category selection might seem unusual to new users.

While the titles might seem random and difficult to relate to the topics you would like to talk about, these categories have been intentionally chosen to inspire restraint and diminish your confidence in starting new threads.

The result of this choice should hopefully have been that you read this "how to use" section in search of answers. Good. However, you will receive no further guidance.

Post

Writing a post is not required.

Formatting is as follows:

functionsyntaxresult
(new line)(press enter)line 1

Most of this formatting markup is directly accessible from the bar above the post text box.

Extra information

Your posts can only be deleted by me (the administrator).

However, I may soon implement secret passwords that you can make along with your post that will allow for your threads to be deleted.

Replying

Just about everything you need to know has already been covered under the previous section.

Some special points of note, however, are that:

It's best to directly reply to people by pressing the reply button. You may remove text as you please to quote just specific excerpts from a post.

You can also use the post link syntax directly to reply to someone.

Rules

Be nice, please.
