I wonder why melodrama in fictional media is generally seen as a bad thing. Do we want to experience fiction as true to life? I feel like it’s a more recent phenomenon to expect this sort of realism in the stories we encounter… Is it to feel absorbed? Personally involved? Sophisticated? ⇒

I spent a lot of time trying to get my hands on the script for a show I’ve wanted to see forever since I couldn’t find it anywhere. Miraculously, I ended up finding the show right after I’d finished reading the script for the last episode. Have you ever read a script for a show before watching it?
