The damsel in distress is a woman that needs a man to rush to her aid which fits the 6w7 xSFx the most. Pretending doesn't come into it because it is about the common trope.

I think there are many disparate views on what Damsel in Distress really signifies.

Is the girl in the image really trapped?  Or just pretending to be trapped, revealing her shoulder and trying to attract attention?  That is how it appears to me, hence the 2 vote.

If you chose an image of an unkempt or actually needy person I would vote differently.

The only types that reject nurturing are the ones in the rejection triad (2,5,8). I think you're just referring to yourself, Kawaii but most 4s are females and they want to rescued.

I picked 4 on tritype because it more sense than 2 and 3. I picked 6w7 for the enneagram type that is most likely to fit the damsel in distress stereotype.

2w1 sp may reject actual nurturing but they sure want a big strong hunk to play their protector - even while the 2 is actually taking care of him.  2s are the best at making a man really feel like they are desperately needed, all the while, the 2 is taking over his life, though not making any emotional demands on him.  Very traditional male-female game.
